$12.00

Ohio spiderwort (Tradescantia ohiensis) is a 2- to 3-foot clump-forming native perennial with attractive bluish-grey foliage that have 3-petaled flowers in blue, pink or purple from early June to September, especially if cut back in midsummer. It will grow in shade, but has more profuse blooms in full sun. The flowers attract long-tongued bees and certain species of flies. Deer may browse the foliage, but the plant is so vigorous that it is hard to tell. Spiderwort is a self-seeding perennial and given the right conditions, it can be somewhat invasive.
