Biodiversity Project

Menunkatuck Audubon Society has undertaken a major initiative to document the biodiversity diversity of species in our chapter's towns and to educate the public about the earth's biodiversity.

The major component of our initiative is documenting the biodiversity of our area. Our first Biodiversity Day was held on September 8-9, 2000, in Madison, Connecticut. Related newsletter articles are found at:

Microhabitats

Collect water from a nearby vernal pool, swamp, or our backyard water garden and add it to an aquarium along with some leaf litter and muck. Watch what happens!
