Menunkatuck Audubon Society offers an annual $500 scholarship to an area student.
The application deadline is February 28 each year.

Menunkatuck Scholarship for High School Students

The Menunkatuck Audubon Society is pleased to offer a $500 college scholarship to an area high school senior. The purpose of the award is to recognize academic excellence and achievement in the environmental sciences and to further stimulate the development of a student who has an interest in the environment.

The scholarship committee will select an applicant who plans to major in Biology, Environmental Studies, Forestry, Marine Science or another field related to the environment. The applicant should demonstrate both high academic achievement and a record of community service projects.

ESSAY: In a short essay, explain why you wish to pursue environmental studies or a related field as your college major and describe your career goals.

LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION: Submit two letters of recommendation; one letter should be from a science teacher.
