Menunkatuck Audubon Society offers a $500 scholarship each year.

Since 1996 Menunkatuck Audubon Society has presented periodic workshops for teachers, environmental educators, and community leaders each May. The workshop topics have included water quality, investigating the intertidal zone, and Connecticut geology.

In February, 2009, Menunkatuck adpoted King/Robinson Inter-district Magnet School in New Haven. Menunkatuck is working with the school's science teacher to enhance the foster a greater appreciation of science, nature, and the environment among the students. Menunkatuck sponsors live animal programs, field trips, and grant acquisition for programs and supplies.
